Plantar warts are caused by a viral infection affecting the skin on the sole of the foot.

Symptoms

  • Rough, thickened lesions

  • Viral infection (HPV)
  • Walking barefoot in communal areas (pools, gyms)
  • Weakened immune system
  • Cuts or breaks in the skin
  • Excessive sweating

Treatment
